Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng made the announcement during a press conference at Komtar on Tuesday. Penang Convention and Exhibition Bureau chief executive officer Ashwin Gunasekeran said the Penang Meetings Industry Day takes after the Global Meetings Industry Day, which is an annual global advocacy day shedding light on the value of meetings to people, business and communities.
